Dominion

ImageDominion

For the last year and a half, I have been led by the Holy Spirit to a place in my studies I had not really thought about.  In all reality, I had thought in that direction, but just not to the depth in which I am now dwelling in it.  I started studying the Kings & Priests (goers and the senders), first as the type and shadow we see in the Old Testament which is still God’s very active design today, just the same as the tithe and offering is.  I moved into the Kingdom thinking, and the government of God, which is the place where I am today.  I have described it to many as “deep sea diving in the Word.”

(The last time I spoke on the peace of God, a powerful testimony of the power of God was placed on my blog – which you can read yourself; I know it will bless you.)  We are a people that should dwell in peace 24/7/365, or at least that is what God’s design was to be.  Paul said in Philippians 4:11 “Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.”  You won’t find in the Word that it says anything about having no attacks, but we do have an assurance when they come and the Word says it well.  We know Paul went through so much in his ministry, but we also see the way he responded to the attacks against him, and the right response goes a long way!

His Kingdom design for us was to have dominion, according to Genesis 1:26-28.  We gave up the right to that dominion, but Jesus paid the price for us to get it back.  However, we still act like we never did get it back.  That plan is described in Genesis 3 where God pronounced a curse on Satan.  Right there in Genesis 3, was the first mention of the Messiah coming to restore God’s Kingdom design.  So what are we to do with His dominion that has been granted to us?  Rule & reign over that which He has entrusted us with: His Kingdom.

What is dominion?  By definition it is this: “The power or right of governing and controlling; sovereign authority, rule; control; domination of a territory, usually of considerable size, in which a single ruler ship holds sway; lands or domains subject to sovereignty or control. Government; a territory constituting a self-governing commonwealth.  That’s the dominion we have or at least were created to have and walk in.

So I want to challenge you!  I challenge you to look at your life, at every area of it.  Then in the Word, find the scripture that relates to that area and declare your authority over it now and forevermore!  You won’t regret it!

Guatemala Mission Trip, Seminar & Hero’s Outreach

When I started traveling full time for the ministry following the accident, mine and Debbie’s desire was to be a blessing to the ministry and to the places that we go to around the world.  As we travel internationally, although it is a ministry function, I have always stood by faith to raise support for these trips and not have to take it from the ministry.  We are leaving in just 12 short days for Guatemala where we will be doing a 3 day seminar, a Hero outreach to the fire fighters, and then Sunday services before heading back home.  I am so excited about this trip as I will be teaching on Kingdom Prosperity.  The budget for this trip has not been fully met YET, but I know my God is faithful as He has been for all of the other trips in past years.

***Guatemala Trip Budget:  $1,200 Mission Trip/Seminar  plus $500  Hero’s Outreach to the Guatemalan Fire Fighters  – Total $1,700

But I do also know that He uses us as avenues of blessings & conduits of increase.  By seeding into the ministry He has called us to, you become a partaker of every life that is touched and every soul that is brought to Christ without ever physically leaving your city.  You can sow into this outreach or become a monthly partner by clicking on the partnership page of this blog.

Hero’s Outreach

My background before ministry life was in the EMS/FF/Search & Rescue field.  If you have the desire to help people like this, it never leaves you.  Still to this day, I am the chaplain for the local volunteer FD and continue to have an active Emergency Medical certification and teach throughout the year.

Some years ago, the Lord opened a door in a fire department in Panama that has remained open to this day.  We train and minister to them and have seen in excess of 300 fire fighters give theirs lives to Christ.  We have also held this outreach in Paraguay and now are very excited about an upcoming outreach in Guatemala next month!  One of our missionaries, Debby Roth, did an outreach last year to the Police Dept. there in Guatemala and she had it on her heart to reach out to the fire fighters, as well.  God sent Debby to talk to the chief and the door has been opened.  This coming May, while I am there to teach and minister in a seminar, we will also be ministering to the fire fighters and imparting Godly leadership skills along with some very needed practical medical skills.

Special Opportunity

As you might have noticed in the lower part of our e-mails we have been listing a needs list.  We have had a special opportunity to get two of the items for a great price. We can get a Sony DSLR camera for $300 and a Mac laptop refurbished but still a great opportunity for $500.  So we can get 2 of the items off the list for less than what we had thought we would be looking at for the one laptop.  Thank you in advance for your prayers and support with these items…

Letting God’s peace reign…

Lately, I have been praying, reading & meditating on the peace of God.  It really made me think about how we could never step into our calling outside of His peace.  His peace is the foundation to our faith because where there is no peace we have fear & worry and faith cannot dwell there.  That’s like trying to make light and darkness dwell together and it is just not possible.

Now you may say, “How can I have peace with all that I am going through”?  Godly peace is not based on where we are or what is going on in our lives.  Godly peace comes from a heart that lives in an assurance that no matter what is going on, He perfects that which concerns them.  His peace inside us makes the Word final in everything.  So, you can be going through what you feel would be the worst thing possible but yet right in the middle of it, you have peace.  Our soldiers on the front lines could be right in the middle of a hot zone with a fire fight going on all around them but be in a peace that surpasses ALL understanding.  You might say, “Well that is just not possible,” but I say it is.  When I read the Word, I read about three men in a fiery furnace at peace.  I can read about a man in the lions den at total peace.  The Word is full of those moments and we walk in even a greater revelation and assurance through the Blood of Jesus.  So again, where we are or what we are going through should not be allowed to determine our peace.

Once we step into and dwell in His peace, then we can move into that calling He has called us to and be effective at fulfilling our part of The Great Commission.  No matter what He calls you to do, it will take His peace to be successful at it.

So let His peace rule & reign over ALL other things this day & forever more!!!

News Update

Greetings to all our friends and family,

What an awesome year 2012 has been so far and the best is yet to come!!!!  It’s that way for me, because I’m alive and overflowing in His perfect grace.  I don’t have to try and earn it or toil for it; it’s mine because of the price paid by my Jesus.  This is another year for us to live in God’s goodness and grace before all the world to see and brag continually about how much God loves us.

We just sent out a teaching letter that the Holy Spirit gave to me on the peace of God.  It blessed me just to receive it and then to get to write it.  God’s perfect peace truly does surpass ALL natural understanding and all we have to do to have it, is just believe and receive.  In that peace, all other things just fall away.  War, recession, sickness, and disease has to bow their knees to the name that is above every name.  Here is the link to that teaching letter and I would love to hear your thoughts about it. LWT February 2012 Teaching letter

On a personal note, Debbie and I are doing great.  We have had many changes in our life and ministry and our schedule has become even more fruitful than ever.  Debbie has taken over the finances of the ministry along with what she was already doing, which is an entirely new place for her and I have to say, “SHE IS DOING AN AMAZING JOB”!

As for our kiddos:

Ashley and Josh are still in Germany as Josh serves with the Air Force.  He just signed on for another season through 2017.  Ashley finished her schooling and earned her degree in Sept.  She was recently hired as the Registrar of an elementary school that is on base and she has now been given government security clearance for her job.

Ricky left for Air Force Boot Camp on December 27th and recently graduated as an Airman First Class.  He is currently in Pensacola, FL for tech school until around May 10th.  We are not sure yet where his orders will take him, BUT we do know that God has great things in-store for him.  Here is a link to see pictures of his Air Force life.  Ricky’s Air Force Pictures

Parker left Ricky’s Boot Camp graduation last month with a desire for the Air Force and has now signed up for the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) which is an auxiliary to the Air Force.  He is also a new cadet with the fire department here in Caddo Mills and is truly enjoying it.  Here is a link to some pictures of Parker.  Pictures of Cadet FF Parker Spanberger

As we are moving forward in this year, I am really excited about the upcoming mission trips and meetings.  I will be in Guatemala during the month of May, teaching a seminar with Daniel King http://www.kingministries.com/ .  While I’m there, the ministry will be doing an outreach to the fire fighters.  One of our missionaries, Debby Roth, did an outreach last year to the Police Dept. and she had it on her heart to reach out to the fire fighters, as well.  God sent Debby to talk to them and the door has been opened.  We will be ministering to them and imparting Godly leadership skills.  I will also be teaching them basic EMS skills so that they are better prepared to help the people of Guatemala in times of need.  We have done this outreach in Panama, Paraguay, and now Guatemala.  More than 300 fire fighters have made Christ the Lord of their lives through this outreach.  Here is a link to keep up with this event.  Fire Fighter Outreach  I will be in Compton, CA in August, Des Moines, IA in September, Branson, MO in October, Guatemala again in November, Germany in December (family time with Ashley), and there are more dates to come.  I have plans for a mid summer trip to Panama and Nicaragua, back to back.  I LOVE IT!!!!!

In the book of Philippians, Paul talks about being “PARTAKERS TOGETHER”.  The late Dr. James L. Zirkle, president and co-founder of LWT, also wrote a book regarding this topic.  (Which you can order through our ministry.)  But you, too, can become a partaker together with the ministry of LWT and Debbie and I in all these meetings that I previously mentioned.  By sowing a one time seed or making a monthly pledge to support us, you will become a partaker in every life that is touched and changed without ever leaving your city.  Your seed will make an impact into lives across the US and into Central America and wherever the Lord sends us.  Your giving is tax deductible and we will send out updates after each of our trips.  You can also keep up with us on the ministry web-site and through our Blog, Facebook, Twitter and the other links I have provided below, on this email.  By clicking this link: Donate Here you will be taken to the ministry PayPal link and you can sow your seed right now.  In the note area, you can put #25000 and your giving will go directly towards supporting the ministry God has called me to.  If you are sending a check, you can send it to the address below.  If sending in a check, please make your check out to “Living Water Teaching” and in the memo area, write #25000.

Living Water Teaching is a 501c-3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

We would love to hear from you with your prayer requests and praise reports.  Always know that you are in our prayers.

Sincerely,

Dr. Keith & Debbie (Zirkle) Spanberger

I CAN!!!!!

Philippians 4:13 (AMP) I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].

Philippians 4:13 (KJ) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

We were watching a movie and this man was making a speech.  He was talking about his dad and a statement that was common to him.  The statement was “What would you do, if you knew you would not fail? Then do it!!!”  We as sons and daughters of the most high God truly do have that assurance.  We read that in Philippians 4:13 and we see that it is not because of our works but through the completed works of Christ.  If God said, “I can do all things”, then that’s what He meant, ALL THINGS!!!!

I remember my father-in-law, the late Dr. James Zirkle, making this statement:  “One of the biggest regrets old people have, is that they did not take enough chances”.  We can no longer let fear rule us!  We have got to take a stand on His Word and move forward with our God given dreams.

What a sad thing it would be to live your life only to get to the end of it and realize that we have never truly lived.

I pray this prompts you to dream at a level like never before and to live life so large that you become a light to a lost and dying world.

So I leave you with these two words…

LIVE UNPREDICTABLE

A MASTERPIECE

Genesis 1:26 (AMP) “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. V:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

How many have ever said, “I wish I looked like them” or “I wish I had what they had”?  We all should be saying “that’s me”!  I don’t know a single person, that has not at one time or another wished they had what someone else had or wish they had the looks of someone else.

I am big-time guilty of this.  I grew up the ugly duckling with all the pretty people around me.  It seemed like someone else always had the “in-style clothes” I wanted or the hairstyle that was the hit of the moment.  Even today, my wife corrects me for the very thing I am talking about.  But I have to say, that during my devotional time yesterday, my eyes were truly opened to Genesis 1:26, 27 like never before.  God created us to be happy with ourselves, to love ourselves and to take care of ourselves.  Honestly, our love for ourselves is a direct reflection of how we love others.  If we are not going to love & take care of ourselves, then we will see that in how we take care of others.

Now as for that “outer me” – we can change that with a few simple decisions.  Just make a decision and stick to it and that outer you can become the “knight in shining armor” or “the Cinderella of the ball”.  I grew up the fat kid that some liked, that some made fun of and there were others that did not even know I existed.   But with that said, God knew all about me and loved me!  His love was not based on what I looked like and the size or shape of the outer me, all He saw was that image He had created me in.

Now that does not mean we let the temple become a fun house of laziness and bad decisions. We are to be a Christ-like example to a lost world in every area.  Debbie and I made some life changing decisions back in June.  It has not been an overnight thing making these changes, but I will say this, it has been worth it!  But from the changes we made, others have been challenged and their lives have been changed, as well.

Influence comes from many places – both good and bad.  I crack up nowadays, when I see kids buzzing about the “new thing” that is in fashion.  I can remember a few years back, when bell bottoms came back into style.  I thought “what is this”???  If you dared show up to school in bell bottoms when I was in high school, that was the “OK” to put you on the list of the “fashionably challenged list” with no hope for escape.  BUT because someone somewhere said, “Hey, this is the ‘in thing’ now”, the world followed.  Why do we do this?

I remember while watching a movie several years ago, the statement was made, “Who decides what is or who is cool”?  WELL????  Every day I am amazed at what I see the world doing and also what I see Christians doing that the world has decided is popular all for the sake of, “because I am ME” and “I wanted to”.  We have become a society obsessed with trying to make our body something of a show thing.  I can’t help but think, one day people are going to look in the mirror and say, “What was that tattoo supposed to be of again or why did I get this hole there or what was I thinking when I wore that”????  I ask this question, “Why can’t we decide what is cool or right for us and just be happy with it, not based upon a worldly trend”?

I think the answer is simple; we can’t see the masterpiece we are, because we are blinded by what they world says we should be.  You are truly a masterpiece, a one-of-a-kind.  Parents, if you want your kids to see themselves as a masterpiece, then you must first see yourself as that and then set the example.

You are a masterpiece; a precious, beautiful, work-of-art, created by the one true Master sculpture, whole and complete.  SO SHINE!!!!!!

NEVER COUNT THE COST

The following is something I wrote on 9-10-02 in remembrance of 9/11.  I thought I would share it once again here on the Facebook world.   Have a blessed day – Keith

To all that take the time to read this.  Please look past any misspelled words or anything else that might not be correct.  It’s 11:15 pm on 9-10-02 and we draw very near to 9-11.  A day that will never again go unnoticed.  A day in history when an entire country came together to mourn an attack like no other.  As I watched from our ministry office, the events of that morning unfold, I could not believe what I was watching.  As the airplanes pushed their way into the mighty structures and the smoke billowed out, I knew what was coming next.  Men and women were called to duty.  They answered the call never looking back.  Never saying, “Maybe I should not help because I might die.”  No!  Instead, men and women came together in one commo

n goal; to put someone else first.  Fire Fighters, Paramedics, Police Officers, Doctors, Lawyers – people from every walk of life.  I know as these people hurried towards those massive structures, they were forever changing history.  They were setting a standard which our very country was founded on and that is “never counting the cost for putting others first”.  Throughout history, men and women have lain their lives on the line for others to have freedom and this day was no different.  They were going in hope that they could give freedom to someone.  In the blink of an eye, as the massive structures crashed to the ground, we knew that many had just given their life once more trying to bring freedom.  They laid their life on the line and never looked back.  Some may say, “I would never do that.  That was stupid to risk death just to try and bring freedom to someone you don’t know.”  But I say they are HEROES.  Now those that lived through that moment would never say, “Yes I am a hero”  because it’s just a natural response to a call for help.  This day you have heroes all around you.  As you go to work or walk through stores or just drive around, you see them.  Some wear a gun and some charge the heat of a fire head-on and some are there in moments of sickness and distress, just to name a few.  But wherever they are, to them they are not heroes but just doing another day on the job.  Answering a call in a time of need.  So as I watched those men and women enter the area of destruction, I knew what was going through their minds.  These servants don’t do this for themselves, but instead they do this for someone else.  Again, that is what our entire history is based on.  From the time Jesus walked the earth, until now and forever, it has always been about someone else.  Today is no different.  This day should be about someone else.  No matter what you do in life, it should always be about others.  So look around you today.  See what you can do for others.  Never count the cost to help someone in need.  Please pray today for those that put their lives on the line to help.  Take a second and share with them just how much you appreciate what they do.  I pray this makes sense.  I’m sure that there are some misspelled words along with a few mistakes here and there, but I think you will understand the point.

Be Blessed,

Keith Spanberger

Ministry Update

What a wonderful year it has been and the best is yet to come!  We are drawing closer and closer to that 32 year mark for the ministry and look what all the Lord has done!!!!  We have seen over 700,000 new births; many of which were one on one and over 31,000 graduates from the Bible Schools in those 32 years.
In 2010, there were 145,448 people ministered to outside of normal church services and not including Bible school classes.  We saw over 20,000 new births from the groups and other such activities and graduated 1,344 Bible Students at our yearly graduation on our campus in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.  During the Shoebox outreach in December, we distributed 12,186 shoeboxes to babies and children in the countries of Guatemala, Panama, and Nicaragua which was combined with over 2,700 new births.
This year, we are believing for more, more, more, more and did I mention MORE?!  In March, we held one of two yearly medical mission trips in Guatemala where we treated 3,313 nationals and saw 347 give their lives to Christ.  In the months of June & July, we hosted our summer mission trips where we ministered to over 8,100 adults and children and saw 4,447 give their lives to Christ.
We are now preparing for our October 17-26 Medical Mission trip, and the December 2-10 Operation Shoebox mission trip.  We would love for you to come and be a part of one of these trips.  For more information, call our US Office @ 903-527-4160 or visit us on the web @ www.livingwaterteaching.org.
Be blessed,

Hello World!!!!!

What a wonderful day we are resting in.  Did you notice I said resting in?  That is truly how God intended our lives to be BUT we take control of things and the rest is history….

Just in case you are wondering, the purpose of this Blog is truly not about me or a ministry but instead the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.   All that is written on here will be God inspired without any compromise.  So please share this with all that you know to help get the word out so that we can share Living Water with a dry & thirsty world.

Moving forward now…

How many have felt that they have been walking through their very own wilderness experience?  I know that I have, but during that time I have come to know a greater presence of God than ever before.  I am not saying that He placed me here, I needed no help there!  What I am saying is  that as I have pressed closer to Him, I have felt Him closer to me.  Things have become clearer and the Word has become so much more alive to me & in me.  But just a short time ago, all I wanted to do was find a corner and hide and just close my eyes hoping it would all go away.  But it didn’t and I had to shake the dust off and move forward.  Sounds easy, but sometimes we need a loving push and a good kick in the rear and I got it!

We must realize that the Blood of Jesus qualifies us to have constant access to the Most High God.  A 24/7/365 connection to Him, His anointing, His supply, His protection, His peace, His everything; so even in a desert I have ALL I need to enjoy life to the fullest!

So wherever you are today in this great big beautiful world, take hold of what is yours.  Stop looking for the light at the end of the tunnel and start walking in the light through the tunnel of life.  Life is going to have its ups and downs but just make a decision to enjoy the ride no matter what!

Always remember to live Extreme for Him in ALL that you do,

Keith
