Finding The Time – Part II

So how’s your homework assignment coming along?  I outlined this homework in my last blog post, which you can refer back to it from here before you go any further, if need be. CLICK HERE TO READ LAST WEEK’S BLOG POST

You cannot change what you can’t even identify.  By moving forward with this journal, you will see your days unfold on paper right before your eyes.  This will help you make an educated strategic plan of attack which can bring forth much fruit in your lives.

Hopefully, you can now clearly see some areas that might need attention in your life.  It might be in your health with regards to your eating and fitness.  Using someone else’s plan is not bad BUT realize it is their plan and not yours.  Truly “one size” does NOT fit all, but you can gleam insight from what others have done.  Watch out for the failure pit!  The failure pit is a spot in the road of life where disappointment grabs you and you cannot shake it loose.  Sometimes in using someone else’s plan, you might not get the results they got and disappointment can set in and cause you to give up.  This can happen and you never even realize what is happening, until it is too late.  I myself have fallen in this pit countless times; but in June of last year (2011), my wife and I made some changes that just over a year later have been life changing.  (I have to add a note in here regarding how God can also put people in our lives to help.  I had a friend come into my life around June, who was a huge key, in which God used in my health and eating to help me get to the place where I am today.  Michael G., you know who you are and thank you, my friend!)  Now today, Debbie and I feel stronger than we ever have at any other point in our lives.

So what’s the secret plan?  First, you must get some wisdom in the area that you are struggling in and wanting to change.  This wisdom can come from researching how others had success in the area or areas you are desiring to see change; but also, the greatest wisdom comes as you take the time to read the Word of God and meditate on what you are reading.  Then taking that wisdom and through prayer finding out what fits you and your life and then making a plan.  Now it’s time to put your plan into action AND DO NOT LOOK BACK!!!!  Again, this life is NOT “one size fits all”, but you find what fits you and you walk it out into a place of great success.

Now all that I just said can be applied to every area of your life; spiritually, physically, financially, emotionally and socially.  But it’s going to take time, patience, and a willpower that is not going to allow the potholes in the road of life to hold you back or knock you out of the race.  YOU CAN DO IT!

 Homework:

Stick to your 31 Day journal & take control of the here and now!  Just a side note here about journals; journals are so important and should be a part of all of our lives and you should daily beyond this 31 day journal, be living out your life in its pages.  WHY? For your future generations to know about you and the life you lived.  You should learn from each other’s errors and successes.  So just let this be food for thought.

I would love to hear back from you on how this went, your testimonies and whatever else you would like to share or even ask.   You can email me at keiths@lwtusa.org directly or post your thoughts and comments on this blog.  Always remember to keep pressing forward and DO NOT LOOK BACK!

Finding The Time – week 29

Well this blog entry is telling on me, but you might also find “you” in it!

I am guilty, guilty, guilty BUT forgiven, forgiven, forgiven and always and forevermore forgiven!  Do you ever find yourself trying to find the time to get everything done while forgetting what it was that needed to be done in the first place?  Let me explain that a little more.  It’s a new day but it starts all wrong;  first by getting up late and then missing your morning devotional and exercise time.  You rush through the house trying to get done everything that needs to be done, all the time kicking yourself for getting up late for whatever the reason was.   As you go throughout the day, now it seems like everything is out of whack and you are running against the clock and when the end of the day does come and your head hits the pillow, you sigh and ask yourself, “What happend”?!?

Does this sound familiar?   If it does, then lets you and I take a stand for a new day, one we have control over and not letting it control us.  Time is truly the only thing we have that is ours and it is also our most valuable asset being we can’t make more and we can’t get back what we wasted.  Today is the only thing that matters.  I cannot change what was (yesterday) nor worry about a day that I am not guaranteed (tomorrow).   BUT being I am here and now, then today is
what I am to focus on.  God wants us to take this day that He has made, and make the best of it – not on our own abilities and supply, but instead on His and His alone.

So how do we get control of the “here and now” so that we can get to the “yes and amen”?  First, step away from all your previous ideas of how it is supposed to be.  You cannot conquer today with yesterday’s battle plan.  Every day is new and so is the battle plan for the day. We should have a daily AM routine that first creates an environment of peace and gets us into a place where we can get direction.  Taking those first few moments of the day and stretching and getting some exercise, has a two-fold effect.  One is physically – as we stretch and take those deep breaths in and out, our body is oxygenated throughout which brings a renewing to it, head to toe.  Then spiritually – as we take time to read the Word and meditate on it, we also gain mental and spiritual clarity on how to handle the things we might encounter in the day.  Just in these two things, we have set new foundations on which to stand and as we move forward, we are strengthened to conquer and overcome and not be defeated and overtaken.

So let’s move ahead and create a new day of victory and learn from each day what does and dos not work.  This is easily done by journaling your life.

Homework:

Take the next 31 days and journal each day from the time you get up until the time you lay down.  Note your habits, the mistakes you made and the mountains you conquered.  Create a plan and stay with it – that involves both a physical and spiritual kickstart first thing each morning when your feet hit the floor.  Be honest!!!

I would love to hear back from you on how this went, your testimonies and whatever else you would like to share or even ask.   You can email me at keiths@lwtusa.org directly or post your thoughts and comments on this blog.  Always remember to keep pressing forward and DO NOT LOOK BACK!

Prioritizing Your Life – week 26

First of all, I’m sorry for the lateness of this post, as my intentions are to release these every Monday.  However, I got busy this weekend and then before I knew it, I was on into this week.  I just entered into a new year of my life, being that I turned 44 the beginning of this week and to some, they would say, “That is old” and others would say, “That is young”.  But to me, it is just another number/age.  But as I did enter into this new year, I made a more focused stand on my life and all that I have been called to do.  I set back and look at some of the wasted years of my life and know that I can’t get them back, but what I can do is make the best of what is here and now.  I tweeted this on my Kingdom Thinking thoughts yesterday “first step to changing the here & now is changing the perspective of how you see your life.”   I realized I must change my entire perspective on things.  I must face the day to day challenge in a much different way.  Not in “How will I overcome?” but already knowing that through Christ it is over taken!

What are my priorities?  My God is first, then my spouse, my children and then my calling.  I have learned so much from a man named Michael Hyatt and he teaches that if those priorities I just listed above are out of order, then so is everything else!  Sometimes we get things out of order and we suffer, toil and live in stress and heartache and never figure out why.  One day we wake up and wonder what happened to the life I had and how did I get to this life that I am living in?  Easy answer – your priorities are out of order and this puts everything else out of order.  I am not saying I am perfect (my wife could write her own blog on that, but we are not going to go there), but I am taking this walk I have been walking and living it through this blog for the world to read and learn from.  Life is a classroom and every day we must learn, grow and advance.  Most of us do not have a plan for our life and so without a plan, we just get tossed all around and life passes us by.  It’s time to change that and make a plan and prioritize things.

The more I study Kingdom Reality, the more I see God’s plan unfold and it makes me think about what I have been talking about above.  I want to encourage you today to write down your priorities and let your spouse look at them and see if they really are in order in regards to how you are living them.  We must be honest with ourselves and be willing to hear from those who are closest to us.

Homework:

1.      What are the order of your priorities?

2.      If you shared these with your loved ones, would they agree?

3.      What can you do today to reorganize those things that are out of order?

I close the entry with this.  If you see your life is out of order then DO NOT wait until tomorrow to fix it.  You can never get back time and you also can’t repair regret, but you can do something about it right now.

I want to hear back from you regarding this topic.  Please email your input to keiths@lwtusa.org

Kingdom Thinking Thoughts – Recap week 25

Here is a recap of this last weeks Kingdom Thinking thoughts. I hope you enjoy them and it would really be a blessing if you could forward these to others you know.

Monday:
Kingdom thinking: HUGE difference between having a ministry & a life that is a ministry in itself! It’s a lifestyle, not an occupation.

Tuesday:
Kingdom thinking: let not this world, theological issues or other such things distract from the road God has called you to. Stay focused!

Wednesday:
Kingdom thinking: it’s not your way to fulfillment & success, but instead God’s. Prov. 20:24 “Man’s steps are ordered by the Lord.”

Thursday:
Kingdom thinking: “it’s less about resources & more about intention”
Bob Goff

Friday:
Kingdom thinking: the first step can be the hardest at times but also the most productive with the fulfillment of your dreams.

I would love to hear back from you on your thoughts, prayer request & praise reports.

The Kingdom Foundations – Part 2….

Do you ever feel like you are in a day to day drowning of life, family, work, church and the list can just keep going?  So does this describe you and your life?  It’s almost like the action hero who is running from the runaway boulder that is chasing him through the cave.  At some point, he has to do something different before the boulder rolls him into a hero pancake!  Well we have to also do something, before life makes a pancake of us!

The more I study and meditate on all the Word says about the Kingdom, a clearer picture is opened in front of me.  We need to get a bigger picture of who we are with Christ in our lives.  (Before Christ was in our lives, we can get a picture of who we were and that was based on what we had and how much we made.  Because in the wordly kingdom, it is all about status.)  What’s sad, that thinking has made its way into ministry, also, BUT I am not going there, at least not now on this blog entry =)

So what picture do you see of your life?

What is the picture that you want to see?

All you have to do is first change your view and that is done by making Him your Lord, and then in His Word find out what He says about you.

Homework, yes homework!

1.     What image you are you made in?

2.     What power do you have in your words?

3.     According to the Word, what level of works will you be able to do?  And why?

So you must find yourself in His Word daily and by that I mean you should read the Word and see yourself in it!  This is how the Kingdom foundation is laid.

Kingdom Thinking Thoughts – week 24

Here is a recap of this last week’s Kingdom Thinking thoughts. The last two weeks, I focused on Kingdom Characteristics which is from my teaching on “The Eight Pillars of the Kingdom”. I hope you enjoy them and it would really be a blessing if you could forward these to others you know.

Monday:
Kingdom thinking: Kingdom Characteristic – acknowledgement that Christ is the Lord over your life in ALL areas.

Tuesday:
Kingdom thinking: Kingdom Characteristic – a childlike faith is key. Simple belief because Dad said so, without explanation or concern.

Wednesday:
Kingdom thinking: Kingdom Characteristic – forgiveness – the Kingdom is based on love, and unforgiveness blocks love from ruling our lives!

Thursday:
Kingdom thinking: Kingdom Characteristic – dreamer – you were born to dream. Dreamers are visionaries. So dream, and dream BIG!

Friday:
Kingdom thinking: NON-kingdom characteristics-pride, lies, murder, sin, contention, false witness, Prov. 6:16 describes this!

I would love to hear back from you on your thoughts, prayer requests & praise reports.

The Kingdom – Part 1

Last week I spoke on “His way is perfect” and this week we are going to be looking at the Kingdom even more.  I am referring to a Kingdom that His perfect Word created.  Now we all know that because of a decision by man, this perfect Kingdom was turned over to another.  One not qualified to rule and reign over anything more than the pit of hell.  A new kingdom was birthed, but one of no perfection or supply without toil…

What God created had no toil; it truly was founded and supplied for not by anything other than Godly supply.  It was about relationship, between God and man and that was something Satan truly did not, nor could not understand!  Nothing has changed; it is still about a relationship between God and man and will always be that way.  It starts with a revelation of our need for Christ and then asking Him to come into our lives and be our Lord and Savior and then moving into a true understanding of Kingdom revelation which is where the church comes in.  The church is to disciple and build a Kingdom foundation that cannot be washed away when the storms of life come.  But much of the time, the teaching people are receiving are topics of the Kingdom which without foundation, are just sifted through as the storms roll in.

My heart is to bring foundation to the body through these teachings of the Kingdom and this is what this blog will be focusing on.  I know with foundational understanding, much fruit will be manifested in the lives of God’s children.

I pray you are ready for the adventure of your life, because it already began when you started reading this post.  Debbie and I pray God’s richest over you and all that you put your hands to do.

His way is perfect…

ImageMany of the issues we have today are the direct response to the fact that people get a glimpse of God and His Son, Jesus, in the church but the revelation of His Kingdom is missed.  We speak on love, grace, faith, prosperity and every other topic we can find, but never giving people a foundation with which to stand on with those topics.  It’s like a car seat with no car or an ink pen with no ink cartridge; it’s only a part of the pieces we need to have completeness.

In 2 Samuel 22:31AMP version it says, “As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried.  He is a Shield to all those who trust and take refuge in Him.”  If God’s way is perfect, then His Kingdom is perfect and if His Kingdom is perfect, then everything pertaining to it is perfect.  All the topics I mentioned above are topics of the Kingdom, but they are not the Kingdom.  We need to build people a Kingdom reality and then fill it with the pieces from there.  But, instead, we give them the pieces and hope that they can put them altogether for themselves.  This is where frustration and loss of hope come into the picture.

We tell them to pray and receive their healing or financial miracle without teaching them the Kingdom and so they never fully realize that miracles are simply a natural law of the Kingdom and nothing more than luck in the worldly kingdom.  Kingdom reality is the key to walking in what God has for you as either Kings or Priests.

There is much more to come!!!!
