Prioritizing Your Life – week 26

First of all, I’m sorry for the lateness of this post, as my intentions are to release these every Monday.  However, I got busy this weekend and then before I knew it, I was on into this week.  I just entered into a new year of my life, being that I turned 44 the beginning of this week and to some, they would say, “That is old” and others would say, “That is young”.  But to me, it is just another number/age.  But as I did enter into this new year, I made a more focused stand on my life and all that I have been called to do.  I set back and look at some of the wasted years of my life and know that I can’t get them back, but what I can do is make the best of what is here and now.  I tweeted this on my Kingdom Thinking thoughts yesterday “first step to changing the here & now is changing the perspective of how you see your life.”   I realized I must change my entire perspective on things.  I must face the day to day challenge in a much different way.  Not in “How will I overcome?” but already knowing that through Christ it is over taken!

What are my priorities?  My God is first, then my spouse, my children and then my calling.  I have learned so much from a man named Michael Hyatt and he teaches that if those priorities I just listed above are out of order, then so is everything else!  Sometimes we get things out of order and we suffer, toil and live in stress and heartache and never figure out why.  One day we wake up and wonder what happened to the life I had and how did I get to this life that I am living in?  Easy answer – your priorities are out of order and this puts everything else out of order.  I am not saying I am perfect (my wife could write her own blog on that, but we are not going to go there), but I am taking this walk I have been walking and living it through this blog for the world to read and learn from.  Life is a classroom and every day we must learn, grow and advance.  Most of us do not have a plan for our life and so without a plan, we just get tossed all around and life passes us by.  It’s time to change that and make a plan and prioritize things.

The more I study Kingdom Reality, the more I see God’s plan unfold and it makes me think about what I have been talking about above.  I want to encourage you today to write down your priorities and let your spouse look at them and see if they really are in order in regards to how you are living them.  We must be honest with ourselves and be willing to hear from those who are closest to us.

Homework:

1.      What are the order of your priorities?

2.      If you shared these with your loved ones, would they agree?

3.      What can you do today to reorganize those things that are out of order?

I close the entry with this.  If you see your life is out of order then DO NOT wait until tomorrow to fix it.  You can never get back time and you also can’t repair regret, but you can do something about it right now.

I want to hear back from you regarding this topic.  Please email your input to keiths@lwtusa.org

Kingdom Thinking Thoughts – Recap week 25

Here is a recap of this last weeks Kingdom Thinking thoughts. I hope you enjoy them and it would really be a blessing if you could forward these to others you know.

Monday:
Kingdom thinking: HUGE difference between having a ministry & a life that is a ministry in itself! It’s a lifestyle, not an occupation.

Tuesday:
Kingdom thinking: let not this world, theological issues or other such things distract from the road God has called you to. Stay focused!

Wednesday:
Kingdom thinking: it’s not your way to fulfillment & success, but instead God’s. Prov. 20:24 “Man’s steps are ordered by the Lord.”

Thursday:
Kingdom thinking: “it’s less about resources & more about intention”
Bob Goff

Friday:
Kingdom thinking: the first step can be the hardest at times but also the most productive with the fulfillment of your dreams.

I would love to hear back from you on your thoughts, prayer request & praise reports.

The Kingdom Foundations – Part 2….

Do you ever feel like you are in a day to day drowning of life, family, work, church and the list can just keep going?  So does this describe you and your life?  It’s almost like the action hero who is running from the runaway boulder that is chasing him through the cave.  At some point, he has to do something different before the boulder rolls him into a hero pancake!  Well we have to also do something, before life makes a pancake of us!

The more I study and meditate on all the Word says about the Kingdom, a clearer picture is opened in front of me.  We need to get a bigger picture of who we are with Christ in our lives.  (Before Christ was in our lives, we can get a picture of who we were and that was based on what we had and how much we made.  Because in the wordly kingdom, it is all about status.)  What’s sad, that thinking has made its way into ministry, also, BUT I am not going there, at least not now on this blog entry =)

So what picture do you see of your life?

What is the picture that you want to see?

All you have to do is first change your view and that is done by making Him your Lord, and then in His Word find out what He says about you.

Homework, yes homework!

1.     What image you are you made in?

2.     What power do you have in your words?

3.     According to the Word, what level of works will you be able to do?  And why?

So you must find yourself in His Word daily and by that I mean you should read the Word and see yourself in it!  This is how the Kingdom foundation is laid.

Kingdom Thinking Thoughts – week 24

Here is a recap of this last week’s Kingdom Thinking thoughts. The last two weeks, I focused on Kingdom Characteristics which is from my teaching on “The Eight Pillars of the Kingdom”. I hope you enjoy them and it would really be a blessing if you could forward these to others you know.

Monday:
Kingdom thinking: Kingdom Characteristic – acknowledgement that Christ is the Lord over your life in ALL areas.

Tuesday:
Kingdom thinking: Kingdom Characteristic – a childlike faith is key. Simple belief because Dad said so, without explanation or concern.

Wednesday:
Kingdom thinking: Kingdom Characteristic – forgiveness – the Kingdom is based on love, and unforgiveness blocks love from ruling our lives!

Thursday:
Kingdom thinking: Kingdom Characteristic – dreamer – you were born to dream. Dreamers are visionaries. So dream, and dream BIG!

Friday:
Kingdom thinking: NON-kingdom characteristics-pride, lies, murder, sin, contention, false witness, Prov. 6:16 describes this!

I would love to hear back from you on your thoughts, prayer requests & praise reports.

The Kingdom – Part 1

Last week I spoke on “His way is perfect” and this week we are going to be looking at the Kingdom even more.  I am referring to a Kingdom that His perfect Word created.  Now we all know that because of a decision by man, this perfect Kingdom was turned over to another.  One not qualified to rule and reign over anything more than the pit of hell.  A new kingdom was birthed, but one of no perfection or supply without toil…

What God created had no toil; it truly was founded and supplied for not by anything other than Godly supply.  It was about relationship, between God and man and that was something Satan truly did not, nor could not understand!  Nothing has changed; it is still about a relationship between God and man and will always be that way.  It starts with a revelation of our need for Christ and then asking Him to come into our lives and be our Lord and Savior and then moving into a true understanding of Kingdom revelation which is where the church comes in.  The church is to disciple and build a Kingdom foundation that cannot be washed away when the storms of life come.  But much of the time, the teaching people are receiving are topics of the Kingdom which without foundation, are just sifted through as the storms roll in.

My heart is to bring foundation to the body through these teachings of the Kingdom and this is what this blog will be focusing on.  I know with foundational understanding, much fruit will be manifested in the lives of God’s children.

I pray you are ready for the adventure of your life, because it already began when you started reading this post.  Debbie and I pray God’s richest over you and all that you put your hands to do.

His way is perfect…

ImageMany of the issues we have today are the direct response to the fact that people get a glimpse of God and His Son, Jesus, in the church but the revelation of His Kingdom is missed.  We speak on love, grace, faith, prosperity and every other topic we can find, but never giving people a foundation with which to stand on with those topics.  It’s like a car seat with no car or an ink pen with no ink cartridge; it’s only a part of the pieces we need to have completeness.

In 2 Samuel 22:31AMP version it says, “As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried.  He is a Shield to all those who trust and take refuge in Him.”  If God’s way is perfect, then His Kingdom is perfect and if His Kingdom is perfect, then everything pertaining to it is perfect.  All the topics I mentioned above are topics of the Kingdom, but they are not the Kingdom.  We need to build people a Kingdom reality and then fill it with the pieces from there.  But, instead, we give them the pieces and hope that they can put them altogether for themselves.  This is where frustration and loss of hope come into the picture.

We tell them to pray and receive their healing or financial miracle without teaching them the Kingdom and so they never fully realize that miracles are simply a natural law of the Kingdom and nothing more than luck in the worldly kingdom.  Kingdom reality is the key to walking in what God has for you as either Kings or Priests.

There is much more to come!!!!

Dominion

ImageDominion

For the last year and a half, I have been led by the Holy Spirit to a place in my studies I had not really thought about.  In all reality, I had thought in that direction, but just not to the depth in which I am now dwelling in it.  I started studying the Kings & Priests (goers and the senders), first as the type and shadow we see in the Old Testament which is still God’s very active design today, just the same as the tithe and offering is.  I moved into the Kingdom thinking, and the government of God, which is the place where I am today.  I have described it to many as “deep sea diving in the Word.”

(The last time I spoke on the peace of God, a powerful testimony of the power of God was placed on my blog – which you can read yourself; I know it will bless you.)  We are a people that should dwell in peace 24/7/365, or at least that is what God’s design was to be.  Paul said in Philippians 4:11 “Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.”  You won’t find in the Word that it says anything about having no attacks, but we do have an assurance when they come and the Word says it well.  We know Paul went through so much in his ministry, but we also see the way he responded to the attacks against him, and the right response goes a long way!

His Kingdom design for us was to have dominion, according to Genesis 1:26-28.  We gave up the right to that dominion, but Jesus paid the price for us to get it back.  However, we still act like we never did get it back.  That plan is described in Genesis 3 where God pronounced a curse on Satan.  Right there in Genesis 3, was the first mention of the Messiah coming to restore God’s Kingdom design.  So what are we to do with His dominion that has been granted to us?  Rule & reign over that which He has entrusted us with: His Kingdom.

What is dominion?  By definition it is this: “The power or right of governing and controlling; sovereign authority, rule; control; domination of a territory, usually of considerable size, in which a single ruler ship holds sway; lands or domains subject to sovereignty or control. Government; a territory constituting a self-governing commonwealth.  That’s the dominion we have or at least were created to have and walk in.

So I want to challenge you!  I challenge you to look at your life, at every area of it.  Then in the Word, find the scripture that relates to that area and declare your authority over it now and forevermore!  You won’t regret it!

Guatemala Mission Trip, Seminar & Hero’s Outreach

When I started traveling full time for the ministry following the accident, mine and Debbie’s desire was to be a blessing to the ministry and to the places that we go to around the world.  As we travel internationally, although it is a ministry function, I have always stood by faith to raise support for these trips and not have to take it from the ministry.  We are leaving in just 12 short days for Guatemala where we will be doing a 3 day seminar, a Hero outreach to the fire fighters, and then Sunday services before heading back home.  I am so excited about this trip as I will be teaching on Kingdom Prosperity.  The budget for this trip has not been fully met YET, but I know my God is faithful as He has been for all of the other trips in past years.

***Guatemala Trip Budget:  $1,200 Mission Trip/Seminar  plus $500  Hero’s Outreach to the Guatemalan Fire Fighters  – Total $1,700

But I do also know that He uses us as avenues of blessings & conduits of increase.  By seeding into the ministry He has called us to, you become a partaker of every life that is touched and every soul that is brought to Christ without ever physically leaving your city.  You can sow into this outreach or become a monthly partner by clicking on the partnership page of this blog.

Hero’s Outreach

My background before ministry life was in the EMS/FF/Search & Rescue field.  If you have the desire to help people like this, it never leaves you.  Still to this day, I am the chaplain for the local volunteer FD and continue to have an active Emergency Medical certification and teach throughout the year.

Some years ago, the Lord opened a door in a fire department in Panama that has remained open to this day.  We train and minister to them and have seen in excess of 300 fire fighters give theirs lives to Christ.  We have also held this outreach in Paraguay and now are very excited about an upcoming outreach in Guatemala next month!  One of our missionaries, Debby Roth, did an outreach last year to the Police Dept. there in Guatemala and she had it on her heart to reach out to the fire fighters, as well.  God sent Debby to talk to the chief and the door has been opened.  This coming May, while I am there to teach and minister in a seminar, we will also be ministering to the fire fighters and imparting Godly leadership skills along with some very needed practical medical skills.

Here is a link to keep up with this event.  Fire Fighter Outreach

Special Opportunity

As you might have noticed in the lower part of our e-mails we have been listing a needs list.  We have had a special opportunity to get two of the items for a great price. We can get a Sony DSLR camera for $300 and a Mac laptop refurbished but still a great opportunity for $500.  So we can get 2 of the items off the list for less than what we had thought we would be looking at for the one laptop.  Thank you in advance for your prayers and support with these items…

Letting God’s peace reign…

Lately, I have been praying, reading & meditating on the peace of God.  It really made me think about how we could never step into our calling outside of His peace.  His peace is the foundation to our faith because where there is no peace we have fear & worry and faith cannot dwell there.  That’s like trying to make light and darkness dwell together and it is just not possible.

Now you may say, “How can I have peace with all that I am going through”?  Godly peace is not based on where we are or what is going on in our lives.  Godly peace comes from a heart that lives in an assurance that no matter what is going on, He perfects that which concerns them.  His peace inside us makes the Word final in everything.  So, you can be going through what you feel would be the worst thing possible but yet right in the middle of it, you have peace.  Our soldiers on the front lines could be right in the middle of a hot zone with a fire fight going on all around them but be in a peace that surpasses ALL understanding.  You might say, “Well that is just not possible,” but I say it is.  When I read the Word, I read about three men in a fiery furnace at peace.  I can read about a man in the lions den at total peace.  The Word is full of those moments and we walk in even a greater revelation and assurance through the Blood of Jesus.  So again, where we are or what we are going through should not be allowed to determine our peace.

Once we step into and dwell in His peace, then we can move into that calling He has called us to and be effective at fulfilling our part of The Great Commission.  No matter what He calls you to do, it will take His peace to be successful at it.

So let His peace rule & reign over ALL other things this day & forever more!!!
