Kingdom Thinking Thoughts & Ministry Update for the Week October 29th

I know this is late, but I still needed to post last week’s Kingdom Thinking Recap and ministry update.

Debbie and I are preparing to leave this week for Guatemala for our International Directors meetings and also a seminar, along with our Bible Institute Graduation.  This is a highlight each year, as we see new Kingdom warriors step out and into their calling fully equipped with the essential Kingdom tools for discipling a lost and thirsty world.

We are already preparing and scheduling for 2013 meetings and if you would be interested in having us at your church, ministry, business, school, etc., then send us an e-mail and we can get you all the details to make this happen.

Here is a recap of last week’s Kingdom Thinking Thoughts.  I pray each one comes alive in you as you read them.

Monday – Kingdom Thinking:  Money is much like a hammer.  It’s simply a tool to fulfill a task.

Tuesday – Kingdom Thinking:  No matter what level of success you attain, NEVER forget Who your true supplier really is.

Wednesday – Kingdom Thinking:   It’s not IF God will supply any & all your needs, but that He already has supplied them.

Thursday – Kingdom Thinking:  Faith is what you know but trust is the action.  Faith & trust – the twin towers of change for this day.

Friday – Kingdom Thinking:  God makes impossibilities, possibilities for His kids.

Debbie and I would love to hear from you with your questions, comments, prayer requests and/or testimonies. We pray you have a truly blessed day and week in all that you put your hands to do!

Kingdom Living, Kingdom Giving

Let’s talk about MONEY!!!! MONEY, MONEY, MONEY…. I think you get the picture =)

Money is for sure a hot topic. How can I make more, spend less and last but not least, how much should I tithe/sow? If any one topic has been talked about more than most, I would say this is it, both from a Christian perspective and also from a worldly perspective. Marriages are destroyed, businesses are lost, and friendships are sunk because of this one topic.

Now I say this with a great deal of boldness; seeing how the world has done it, shows nothing long term. I can read one day about a company reaching billionaire status, only to read a short time later that it has gone bankrupt. But “go figure”, anything built on a selfish, greed based concept cannot last the tides of time. People are blinded daily by these well dressed sharks on TV and Radio that promise you “3 steps to wealth” if you send them $300. First, most of the time their wealth is made via the $300 people are sending in and not from the crazy idea they cooked up while sitting at home, just like the one who is sending them their $300. If it is a quick route, run the other way!!!

The best way to attain wealth and one with eternal success, assurance, and promise, is in the Bible. I read “give and it shall be given” and “seek first the Kingdom” and I find myself on a path to success like no other. By Kingdom design we were created to be givers. A great example is like a farmer; he sows his seed and that seed brings forth a harvest. The world says “take” while the Bible says “give”. The entire worldly system is based on a “What can I get from you?” mentality. Think about it, the government cannot make it without your support. The guy on the TV with the next get rich quick scheme, can’t get by without your money. But by Kingdom design, God’s system of increase is based purely on sowing and reaping a multiplied harvest. You can read back through history at some of the greatest millionaires and billionaires and they were seed sowers. They knew the power of the seed sown into good ground produced a bountiful harvest.

Many reading this blog have tried the phone cards, real estate, and I could just keep listing the schemes of man. However, I can open the Bible and see by kingdom design how we were created to prosper. The Bible talks about your prosperity more than any other topic. The design for increase is so that others may increase and not that we become a hoarder of the harvest.

So I want to challenge you, start searching the Bible and make note of what it says about your increase and you will notice a pattern. Kingdom increase is just that. It is made to increase the Kingdom and by that, all will finally hear the good news about our Jesus and we simply get to enjoy the reward of it.
I pray God’s richest over you and all you put your hands to do!

Kingdom Thinking Thoughts & Ministry Update for the Week October 22nd

Another fruitful week has come and gone and God has as always, blessed our home and ministry abundantly.

Myself, Debbie, and our son, Parker, have been at the Billye Brim Prayer Conference all this week promoting Operation Shoebox. Dr. Billye Brim has partnered with us for over 14 years in this outreach.

In Guatemala, we just ended on Thursday night a major medical/evangelistic campaign where 2,978 were treated medically and 1,054 received Jesus. Click on this link to find out more about our mission trips: www.livingwaterteaching.org

Debbie & I are now preparing to leave in 2 weeks for Guatemala to meet with our country directors and a seminar along with our yearly Bible School graduation.

I focused this entire week on having a Kingdom Marriage, and here is a link to the blog post: https://rkspanberger.wordpress.com/2012/10/22/kingdom-marriage/
It’s never too early or late to prepare yourself to be a kingdom spouse.

Here is a recap of last week’s Kingdom Thinking Thoughts. I pray each one comes alive in you as you read them.

Monday – Kingdom Thinking: If you’re not daily depositing into your marriage, then you’re daily taking away. Nothing sets dormant & survives!

Tuesday – Kingdom Thinking: Perfection in marriage will only be seen through the eyes of unconditional love.

Wednesday – Kingdom Thinking: We must realize that the next second of life is never guaranteed so never waste the present one.

Thursday – Kingdom Thinking: Your love for your spouse must be more than emotion, it must have action with it.

Friday – Kingdom Thinking: The honeymoon should be the precursor of things to come and not a short time marital bliss.

Debbie and I would love to hear from you with your questions, comments, prayer requests and/or testimonies. We pray you have a truly blessed day and week in all that you put your hands to do!

A mid week thought for ALL to consider

Something to think about before a new day dawns. If I wrote the book of your marriage, what would the title be? Some might say Gone with the Wind while others might say Serendipity. Next question, would others want to read about it? If you are not living the next best selling romance novel, then it’s time for a re-write & the time is now before another day comes & goes!

Kingdom Marriage

20121022-105319.jpg

This blog post and my Kingdom Thinking thoughts for the week will be based on Kingdom Marriage.

Now I am not writing this as a way of saying I know it all. I would say “ask my wife” but never mind that! But I could easily write a book on “How to insert foot in mouth” and also “101 Things You Do Not Say To The One You Love”. But I will say this, my wife, Debbie, is my best friend, my love and fantasy girl. She is my workout partner and the one I walk to work with each day; she is the one I share my deepest hurts with, craziest dreams and everything else you can imagine. She has seen me at my best and too many times at my worst and still gives me the honor of calling her, “my wife”. Thanks Angel!!!

Marriage by design is to be between one man & one woman. This blog post is not to despute something so clearly outlined in the Bible. But what I do hope comes from this week, is a great awakening in the best of marriages, because without success in relationships, nothing else can truly be in order.

In Ephesians 5, it reads the specific design that God laid out for men & women to follow for a Kingdom marriage. Let’s read it together starting in verse 20: “At all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father. Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Wives, be subject (be submissive and adapt yourselves) to your own husbands as [a service] to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the church, Himself the Savior of [His] body. As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless]. Even so husbands should love their wives as [being in a sense] their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, Because we are members (parts) of His body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is very great, but I speak concerning [the relation of] Christ and the church. However, let each man of you [without exception] love his wife as [being in a sense] his very own self; and let the wife see that she respects and reverences her husband [that she notices him, regards him, honors him, prefers him, venerates, and esteems him; and that she defers to him, praises him, and loves and admires him exceedingly]. (Ephesians 5:20-33 AMP)”

I wonder how many read this seeing the two way street of marriage and how many see the one way street of what he or she is to do for me.

I have always felt if we would focus on our spouse and their needs, then the needs of all would be met, even those of the children. We all have needs, but it’s not up to us to meet our needs, but instead those of our spouse. Truly we must be willing to go past our feelings, needs, or current circumstances to ensure our spouse always feels they are wanted, needed, desired and unconditionally loved forevermore.

I hear guys say all the time, “I am looking for that Proverbs 31 woman” but I feel we should see Proverbs 31 as a personal guide that we should all, male and female desire to fulfill.

And I will end on this note. Never let your age or length of time together ever let the flame of desire be blown out. Fuel that flame until your very last breath. Our Kingdom Marriages are setting the stage for others as to what a real marriage should honestly be!

Debbie and I would love to hear from you with your comments, questions, etc. So please feel free to leave them below.

Kingdom Thinking Thoughts – Week October 15th

I pray this last week was all you hoped it would be. But if not, do not be dismayed, because “fresh starts” are a daily part of life.

Here is a recap of last week’s Kingdom Thinking Thoughts. I pray each one comes alive in you as you read them.

Monday – Kingdom Thinking: Non posting day.

Tuesday – Kingdom Thinking: When you look at the cross, what do you
see? Our view speaks volumes!!!

Wednesday – Kingdom Thinking: Win, lose or draw are not kingdom kid
options, because victory is already sure! 1 Cor 15:57.

Thursday – Kingdom Thinking: Stop trying to fix & make up for yesterday. Time to move on!

Friday – Kingdom Thinking: The Bible is not a book of you cannot, but
instead a book of you are, you have & you can.

Debbie and I would love to hear from you with your questions, comments, prayer requests and/or testimonies. We pray you have a truly blessed day and week in all that you put your hands to do!

Living In Today…

Welcome to a new day! No matter when you do read this post, you are standing in a new day.

Do you ever find yourself living in regret for yesterday? I, much of the time, beat myself up for what I did not accomplish in yesterday, only to find it held me back in the today that I am standing in. Sound familiar? Many do the exact same thing and when we do that, through thoughts of “how can I make up for the past days” we then lose the present day, as well. The very same thing happens when I spend all day today worrying about tomorrow.

Kicking ourselves for past dropped “to do list items” and worrying how we will take care of tomorrow’s needs are the killers of the “here and now dreams”.

I am sure we have all heard the statement: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a present” or something like that 🙂

It’s true however the statement goes. Today is just that, a present in the present. Stop wasting the present trying to fix what cannot be changed or what is unsure if it will ever arrive! BUT what you do with today and in this day, sets the stage for tomorrow; so live it to the fullest and be very extreme about it.

Never waste what you cannot get back.

So this day, live extreme in all that you do and live as if today was the last day you had to do it in!
